Jesse Wilson began his career as a legal intern with the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office in July 2010. He was admitted to the California State Bar in January 2012 and hired as a Nevada County deputy district attorney later that year. On July 11, 2022, he was appointed by the Board of Supervisors to fill the district attorney’s office when DA Cliff Newell stepped down. In the June 2022 primary, he was officially elected to the position of district attorney in an uncontested race.
