Elected to her first term in 2020, Supervisor Bea Gonzales-Ramirez is a Hollister native and teacher at Gavilan Community College with a juris doctor degree. Fixing run-down roads, broken sidewalks, and traffic congestion on Highway 25 are all major concerns of Gonzales, who represents Northwest Hollister, north of South Street, and west to Memorial Drive. She states, “For years, District 5 has been neglected, and it has been underserved and underrepresented.” Outside of politics, the lifelong resident, mother and grandmother remains committed to her students, stating, “My job is to advocate daily for my students’ needs.”
