The Public Works and Utilities Department operates and maintains nearly all of the city’s infrastructure while also providing many basic and vital city services.

The department delivers the city’s drinking water; maintains its sewer systems, wastewater treatment and water recycling plant; and collects its garbage and recyclables.

The Public Works Conservation and Education Division provides residents and businesses with tools to conserve the natural resources managed by the department.
