LINKEDINIn 2018, Casey Clark ran against incumbent Rebecca Garcia for the District 5 seat on the Watsonville City Council. Although he didn’t prevail then, he came back in 2022 when Garcia termed out, and he enjoyed an unopposed run for the seat.
Clark conducted a low-key campaign in 2022, not speaking much to local media and declining some opportunities to speak at candidate forums. In his official campaign statement, Clark said, “With over 50 employees and almost 70 clients under my direction, I have a vested interest in our local community’s economic and mental health. I work with the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation, the Pajaro Valley Historical Association, and serve on the executive board of directors for Watsonville’s Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge #2016.”
