Councilmember Pam Foley represents District 9, located between Willow Glen and Almaden Valley in the southwest corner of San José. In 2022, she was the only incumbent to run for and win a new term. She cruised to victory in the June 2022 primary and will be in office through 2026. Born in Portland, Ore., Foley moved to San Joe in 1981. She attended University of San Francisco and got her broker’s license in 1989. She has been a member of the Rotary Club since 2000 as well as a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. In 1993, she and her husband, Mike, purchased E. F. Foley & Co., Inc. from Mike’s father. In 2017, Foley Mortgage celebrated 60 years in business.

SAN JOSE HAS begun temporarily banning RVs in designated areas across the city this week. Under a $3.3 million pilot program, Oversized and Lived-In Vehicle Enforcement (OLIVE), the city has chosen 30 temporary tow-away zones to clear RVs for street sweeping and cleanup throughout this year.
