Can we discuss efforts to prevent slides and power outages?

I live in the Santa Cruz mountains. I'm always happy to see efforts to trim vegetation and retrofit infrastructure. Can we discuss the County and State efforts as well as the individual efforts of private property owners? My husband and I have been having work done quarterly on our wooded property since we purchased 5 years ago and the work we have had done has kept us from having excess damage during the trying weather. I'd like to hear from and share with others.

This particular discussion topic is for items and issues related to California Local only, like feature requests, questions about our organization, etc.

There are several Santa Cruz Mountain related forums on Facebook and Reddit which are better suited for this and have a wider audience who will be happy to chime in.

I'm going to close this thread as it's off-topic.
