Placer Nature Center is a volunteer-supported organization that offers educational programs for children and families.
Features include a nature trail, exhibits, and a gift shop. Contact the center to schedule a visit. Space can be reserved for “green” birthday parties, which can involve such activities as a guided hike with scavenger hunt, nature crafts, and visits to the Maidu Village or Garrison’s Park, the center’s new “playscape.”
