Coinciding with Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month in June, Placer County’s Healthy Brain Initiative is launching a new advertising campaign and hosting a community event aimed at promoting healthy brain habits and encouraging dementia screening across the county.

The 180-unit, affordable senior housing portion of the larger College Park development at Sierra College in Rocklin should begin construction by the end of the year, officials said.

Martis Camp Club will host the 68th U.S. Senior Amateur Championship for the second time from Aug. 26-31, the second time the tournament has been hosted there.
