The 180-unit, affordable senior housing portion of the larger College Park development at Sierra College in Rocklin should begin construction by the end of the year, officials said.

The Lincoln Police Department reported Tuesday it was investigating ongoing jewelry thefts targeting senior citizens in the Sun City Lincoln Hills neighborhood.

“We are very excited,” said Harriet Garland, a who brought the idea of the fair to the city of Lincoln. “We’ve got resources for every part of senior living.”

Martis Camp Club will host the 68th U.S. Senior Amateur Championship for the second time from Aug. 26-31, the second time the tournament has been hosted there.

The Placer County Board of Supervisors received a presentation on the Auburn Senior Center and the essential services it provides.
