The Placer County Fire Safe Alliance works to foster informed, educated, and fire-defensible communities.
Through community assistance, information, and educational programs, the alliance seeks to reduce the risks of wildfire danger, working to protect lives, property and natural resources in a fire-prone environment. Volunteers can participate in the Firewise USA program and join local councils throughout the county, including Foresthill Iowa Hill Fire Safe Council, Greater Auburn Area Fire Safe Council, Greater Lincoln Area Fire Safe Council, North Auburn Ophir Fire Safe Council and Placer Sierra Fire Safe Council.
