VOLUNTEER DONATE

4-H inspires kids to explore nature and the animal world, while learning important leadership skills.

In Placer County, 4-H has a large membership with plenty of opportunities for young people to participate in not only the local club level, but also county and state levels. Members attend monthly meetings and then go on to partiicpate in as many or as few projects as they have an interest in.

The organization started off more than 100 years ago by educating youth about agricultural development on university campuses. With the help of 500,000 volunteers and 3,500 professional care providers, 4-H now reaches nearly 6 million people. Through hands-on learning, 4-H participants gain skills they can use to serve their communities.
