The County Recorder’s Office is responsible for recording or filing documents relating to real estate transactions. The office registers all birth, death and public marriages for Placer County. Records are available to the public to search, view, and copy for a fee.

The County Clerk’s Office issues marriage licenses, performs marriage ceremonies in English and Spanish, and registers confidential marriage licenses. Our office provides direct services to the public for fictitious business name statements, notary bonds, and other professional registrations.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (excluding holidays)
