More than 750 employees work across Placer County Health and Human Services in six divisions: Adult System of Care; Children’s System of Care; Human Services; Public Health; Environmental Health and Animal Services; and Administrative Services. According to the HHS website, Placer County was one of the first California communities to create an integrated health and human services agency, aiming to provide more unified and holistic services to customers.

Information on current programs in all of the divisions is available online, as well as a digital copy of the agency’s 2019-2021 Strategic Plan: “Building a Healthier Community Together.” The plan details how HHS will meet the changing needs of the community.
