Santa Clara County Election Results
Valley Medical Center is one of the many facilities throughout Santa Clara County that offer testing for COVID-19.
Santa Clara County has done more coronavirus testing than any other California county, with 34,166 tests administered as of May 6.
As such, there are a number of different locations within the county to get tested for COVID-19. Here are some of them:
Santa Clara County Health System hospitals: The county’s Public Health Department lists a number of different testing locations. At the top of the list are three hospitals operated by the county. They are:
Valley Medical Center, 751 South Bascom Ave., San Jose, (408) 885-5000.
St. Louise Regional Hospital, 9400 No Name Uno, Gilroy, (408) 848-2000.
O’Connor Hospital, 2105 Forest Ave., San Jose, (408) 947-2500.
County drive-thru sites: Santa Clara County also provides four drive-thru locations, according to the Public Health Department’s website, where county health patients or uninsured people can get same-day results. The locations are:
Milpitas Sports Center Parking Lot, 1325 East Calaveras Blvd., Milpitas, (408) 586-3225.
Valley Health Center East Valley, 1993 McKee Road, and Valley Health Center Downtown, 777 East Santa Clara St., San Jose, (888) 334-1000.
DePaul Health Center, 18550 DePaul Drive #109, Morgan Hill, (408) 782-1216.
Please note that appointments are required for these locations.
Stanford Healthcare’s Santa Clara County location: Aside from two locations in neighboring San Mateo County, Stanford Healthcare operates a COVID-19 testing location Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 14251 Winchester Boulevard, Los Gatos, (408) 426-5540.
Only adults are allowed at this location, the Public Health Department notes.
Community Health Centers: Those who’d prefer to get tested for coronavirus at a health clinic have no shortage of options in Santa Clara County, with the Public Health Department listing 13 community health centers spanning from Gilroy to Mountain View. Different restrictions apply, as noted by the county. Currently, the 13 locations are:
Asian Americans for Community Involvement, 2400 Moorpark Ave., San Jose. (408) 975-2730.
Indian Health Center, with two locations in San Jose: 1333 Meridian Ave., (408) 445-3400 and 2039 Forest Ave., (408) 947-2929.
MayView Community Health Center, 785 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, (408) 746-0455.
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte sites at 760 Renz Lane in Gilroy; 2500 California Street in Mountain View; and 1691 The Alameda, 5440 Thornwood Drive, 3131 Alum Rock Ave. in San Jose, with a general phone number for these locations of (877) 855-7526.
North East Medical Services, 1870 Lundy Ave., San Jose, (408) 573-9686.
School Health Clinics, 7861 Murray Ave., Gilroy, (408) 842-1017; 1835 Cunningham Ave., San Jose, (408) 347-5988; and 100 Oak St., San Jose, (408) 284-2280.
El Camino Hospital: The Public Health Department notes that this system, which has locations at:
2500 Grant Rd., Mountain View, (650) 940-7000.
815 Pollard Road, Los Gatos, (408) 378-6131.
These locations provide in-person testing to people “who meet testing criteria.” Patients can generally be seen within 24 hours.
Project Baseline: This joint effort between the State of California and Verily, according to the Public Health Department, provides testing at these locations:
Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road, San Jose, (408) 494-3100.
San Jose PAL Stadium, 680 S. 34th St., San Jose, (408) 272-9725.
Hours are somewhat limited, with testing available at each site Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
