The Foundation for a College Education envisions a community where higher education is attainable for every student. To support that goal, FCE provides resources that help students and families navigate the college admissions process.
FCE holds four core values: high expectations, family and community engagement, measurable results, and college graduation. Students are encouraged to perform beyond their own expectations and achieve economic and social mobility through college graduation. The nonprofit group focuses on long-term relationships, following students throughout middle school, high school, college and beyond. Different grades offer different levels of focus, but all develops critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
The organization’s achievements include 200-plus students and families served during 2018-2019, 100 percent of FCE college-bound high school seniors admitted to a four-year college or university, and 85 percent of college students earning a bachelor’s degree.
