Opportunity Fund fosters entrepreneurship by providing loans to low- and moderate-income individuals and underserved small-business owners.

In 1994, Opportunity Fund founder Eric Weaver found a way to channel his passion about economic justice and serve his community. He believed that access to small loans has the potential to change the lives of individuals and communities they serve.

In 2020, Opportunity Fund collaborated with Accion U.S. Network to create Accion Opportunity Fund, which will provide national, scalable programs to dive deep in community impact. These programs will help drive economic mobility for individuals and offer them financial solutions to achieve their goals.
