Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley

The Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley is a nonprofit youth organization that provides after-school and summer programming to low-income, at-risk youth throughout Santa Clara County.

The Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley, a local chapter of the national organization, was founded in 1944 and serves approximately 3,000 children throughout 15 different clubhouses located in San Jose, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy. All locations have the same goal: to reach low-income, at-rish youth aged 6-18 through fun and educational activities. Many of the children who participate seek adult role models and mentors. 

BGCSV works to build healthy futures for well-rounded, confident young people, providing programs and services that address all aspects of child development. 

If you wish to be a volunteer, there are several opportunities:

• Become a tutor.
• Teach kids STEM classes, including computer programming and video production.
• Share your love of the arts—teach dance or art, direct a play.
• Assist in the rec room or coach young club members in a sport.

At BGCSV, there is a space for everyone—both participating children and adults with a desire to serve.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, a nonprofit youth services group providing after-school voluntary activities for young people through clubhouses across the valley, announced this week it has appointed Morgan Hill Assistant City Manager Edith Ramirez to its board of directors.
