CityTeam is a Christian nonprofit community that brings the neighborhood together to provide resources for individuals who are experiencing homelessness, poverty, hunger, and addiction.
CityTeam began serving the homeless of San Jose in 1957. Throughout the years, the group grew to serve 500,000 people each year. CityTeam’s vision is to restore lives and rebuild communities through programs help individuals become a stronger and healthier. Among its services: safe and secure housing for pregnant women, dining halls that provide nutritious meals, and a men’s shelter that offers a safe place to stay for those struggling with homelessness.
