This national nonprofit organization provides a variety of services to children and adults with cerebral palsy. The organization promotes, advocates, and supports the inclusion, independence, and empowerment of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

UCP was established in 1949 when parents of children with cerebral palsy came together seeking support. Since then, UCP has become a resource for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. UCP provides a place for parents and caregivers to exchange information and help young children with developmental disabilities.

Expanding to reach more children and families in need, UCP holds over 130 affiliations in 37 states. Affiliates serve more than 30,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families every day through programs such as therapy, assistive technology training, early intervention programs, individual and family support, social and recreation programs, and more. Each affiliate offers a range of services tailored to its community’s needs.
