Anxiety and Depression Association of America is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders through education, practice and research.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults aged 18 and older. Anxiety disorders develop from a complex set of risk factors, including genetics and brain chemistry. To prevent, treat, and cure anxiety, ADAA works with professionals and the public to promote the importance of mental health.
ADAA professionals are able to network, collaborate, and share research to further gain understanding of anxiety. These insights are shared with the public through a broad range of public resources such as webinars, podcasts, blog posts, and outreach programs.
