Parents Helping Parents supports and educates youths and adults with special needs. For more than 40 years, the group has provided resources for helping parents, caregivers, and children with special needs.
PHP’s mission is to provide resources, care, respect, education, and other services that special needs youth and adults need to reach their full potential.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, education and activities are limited. To engage students, PHP offers online learning classes. Courses are not only for special-needs individuals but also provide access to resources for families and caregivers. Resources include the following:
In addition to volunteering and donating, there are other ways to support PHP. People with developmental disabilities and autism often struggle to establish long-term friendships. To foster these friendships and companionship with peers, PHP created the BFF Project to increase social interaction. Events held through the project are stress free, which allows people to relax and engage.
