Two Cents of Hope

Two Cents of Hope imagines a society where no child is deprived of the right to water, food and education. The nonprofit group focuses on India, a nation where 1.4 million children do not attend school.

Founded by a group of students at North Carolina State University, Two Cents of Hope seeks to break the cycle of poverty. Over the past years, its accomplishments include the following:

Drinking water and sanitation infrastructure, which benefited more than 1,300 students.
Computer facilities that provided students with access to more educational resources.
A program in Dharithree (a school near Bangalore) that serves children with mental and physical disabilities.

The organization believes in the power of two pennies. If enough people donate this small amount, big problems can be tackled.
