The nonprofit Silicon Valley Pet Project is committed to saving local at-risk shelter pets through rescue, community involvement and education. In its first year of operation, the organization rescued and placed more than 150 homeless pets from the local animal shelter. Volunteers focus on teamwork, professionalism and flexibility in reaching and helping more animals in their community.
