A nonprofit devoted to elementary school music education, Music for Minors seeks to nurture a lifelong love of music in children.

The Music for Minors curriculum varies by program. Some programs include visual aids, props, and instruments, while other lessons cover singing, listening, reading, theory, and more. The ultimate goals are to develop music sensitivity and literacy in children, enhance children’s enjoyment and appreciation of music, and help schools fulfill state-mandated music education requirements.

Over four decades, Music for Minors has served more than 25,000 students in 900 classrooms a week.

Due to COVID-19, some modifications have been made for the upcoming school year, including the following options:

Live classroom instruction with social distancing in a classroom setting.
Live classroom instruction with live stream from the classroom.
Remote live stream instruction.
Asynchronous video with lessons covering 24 weeks of curriculum.
