The Green Education Foundation engages students with environmental issues using a hands-on approach, partnering with Coastal Habitat Education Environmental Restoration to promote environmental awareness in the community.

Green Education Foundation’s students will learn about the effects of non-proper disposal of items through visual tours at the Garbage Museum. They are then taught the importance of environmental awareness and sustainability, and will learn ways in which we can upcycle items.

To promote sustainability, the Green Education Foundation holds events such as Backpack Exchange, where students can donate an old backpack for a new one. This event gives the opportunity for students to learn the value of “Reuse. Rethink. Recycle.”
