Almaden Plaza in San Jose is getting a couple new stores
Tomorrow will be Barnes & Noble's last day at Almaden Plaza in South San Jose. That space along with the former spaces for Buy Buy Baby, Compass Real Estate, and Tuesday Morning will be merged...

Mike Potter joined the board in 2003, serving for seven years and rejoining in 2013. He has since been reelected three times to represent District 6, which includes part of downtown and most of East San Jose. A local since age four, he remembers a time when there was far more natural beauty. He served as a legislative district director for many years, has worked for a large tech company, and most recently for a local special district.

The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority teamed up with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area to raise awareness of the importance of irreplaceable landscapes at a community celebration in Morgan Hill.
The money comes from the State Coastal Conservancy’s $84 million in grants to protect and restore coastal lands, and increase resilience to climate change.
