Almaden Plaza in San Jose is getting a couple new stores
Tomorrow will be Barnes & Noble's last day at Almaden Plaza in South San Jose. That space along with the former spaces for Buy Buy Baby, Compass Real Estate, and Tuesday Morning will be merged...

Kalvin Gill moved to District 7 with his family in 1987 and joined the board in 2007 with the belief that everyone should have access to open space. He was born into a farming family and helped his parents in the field. His environmental focus is to preserve agriculture and urban open space. Kalvin works as the CEO of a software startup and is the founder of Naturopathy Clinic. He serves many local nonprofit organizations.

The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority teamed up with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area to raise awareness of the importance of irreplaceable landscapes at a community celebration in Morgan Hill.
The money comes from the State Coastal Conservancy’s $84 million in grants to protect and restore coastal lands, and increase resilience to climate change.
