Elected in 2016 to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors, Mary Adams has a 30-year résumé of public service. Adams earned her bachelor of science degree in business management from Saint Mary’s College. She is the former CEO of United Way Monterey County. Adams was recognized for this work with Woman of the Year Awards from the Monterey County Commission on the Status of Women and CSU Monterey Bay School of Business. She previously held senior leadership positions at the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Foundation. She won reelection to her second term in the March 2020 primary. She holds the District 5 seat, representing Carmel, Carmel Valley, Big Sur, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Hwy 68, and Las Palmas.
