Started in 2007 by the parents of a disabled child, Special Kids Connect firmly believes “the diagnosis of a disability does not define a child or his/her personality, likes, dislikes, aptitude and ability to develop and achieve.”
Programs include the REACH Academy, a six-week academic enrichment matching students with high school and college volunteers “to make learning upbeat, engaging, and fun!” There are also workshops for parents.
