Councilmember David Ackerman has lived in Colfax since 2006. He successfully ran for a council seat in 2020. Ackerman has owned and operated food and supplement contract manufacturing companies, has been an executive leader of operation management teams, and has lent his expertise as an adviser to other consumer product goods companies. His entrepreneurial background brings a useful skill set to the council.
Oh June 14, 2023, Ackerman resigned from his position on the Colfax City Council. The city announced its intention to appoint a successor by Aug. 13, 2023, to serve the remainder of Ackerman’s term, which ends in November 2024.
