The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency is accepting applications for a new scholarship program that empowers Lake Tahoe community members to engage in the planning process as part of the Tahoe Living initiative to update affordable and workforce housing policies.
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency's (TRPA) environmental threshold evaluation report, which monitors the regional plan's environmental factors across 140 indicators, shows that in 2019 to 2023, 75% of the indicators trended positively. The results of the peer-reviewed report can now be accessed online through a dashboard and reveal the positive effects of the Environmental Improvement Program (EIP).
A coalition of conservation groups, including the Sierra Club- Tahoe Area Group, North Tahoe Preservation Alliance, Friends of the West Shore, Tahoe East Shore Alliance, and TahoeCleanAir.org, are urging the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) to prioritize a comprehensive wildfire evacuation analysis for the Lake Tahoe Basin.
