The Placer County Resource Conservation District is governed by a seven-member board of directors who are appointed by the Placer County Board of Supervisors. Agendas and minutes from the current and past year’s board of directors meetings are available here.

Meetings: The board meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings are usually held in the conference room at 281 Nevada St, Auburn.

The River Fire had adverse effects on conveyance systems that supply water to about 175,000 people served by Placer County Water Agency and Nevada Irrigation District. These agencies and resource conservation districts in Placer and Nevada counties are collaborating with private, state and federal partners to repair damage to the watershed.

The Placer County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an agreement with Placer County Probation to extend the Community Chipper Program, which provides residents with a low-cost service for fuel reduction and promotes fire prevention activities.
