Celebration Arts is a multicultural nonprofit company that produces theatrical works and also provides training in the performing arts.
The nonprofit reaches out to underserved communities, particularly African American residents in the greater Sacramento metropolitan area, seeking out drama, dance, and music productions that allow audiences to experience cultural works in which they are the central subjects.
The company provides classes for children as well as playwright seminars that help develop works in progress. The organization specifically supports material based on “American history, ancestral heritage and contemporary times from Black perspectives.”
