This department provides Sacramento County residents with the opportunity and the means for participation in the election process. The staff registers voters and maintains current and accurate voter files, and conducts all federal, state, county and city elections. Staff members also check the adequacy and certification of recall, referendum, and initiative petitions, and monitoring the impact of legislation on the election process.
