Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter has announced a new partnership with the City of Citrus Heights to provide comprehensive animal services to the local community. The new agreement will offer Citrus Heights residents access to a wide array of animal services, including shelter resources, 24/7 customer support through 311 Connect, a full-service on-site pet hospital for sheltered animals, and a low-cost spay and neuter clinic.

A Sacramento Zoo visitor was bitten by a skunk on Oct. 15, 2024. According to a press release from Sacramento County Public Health officials, the skunk was behaving aggressively prior to biting the visitor.
