City of Elk Grove City Council Councilmembers Bobbie Singh-Allen

Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen was elected in 2020 after spending more than six years on the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Trustees. Singh-Allen has lived in Elk Grove for 30 years and is a native of India. She has served on various city-focused boards, including the Elk Grove Teen Center, Elk Grove Food Bank Board of Directors, and Rotary Club of Laguna Sunrise.

In the November 2022 election, Singh-Allen again ran for mayor. She earned 65% of the vote over challenger Brian Pastor. Pastor, a one-time Elk Grove City Council candidate.
