The goal of the Public Works Department is to maintain city facilities while designing and implementing plans for future services. This department works closely with the city's police and fire departments.

Public Works is responsible not only for building maintenance, but also all city parks, storm drainage, street maintenance, traffic engineering, trees and landscaping, and vehicle maintenance.
