Situated along the Sacramento River Delta, the City of Isleton was founded in 1874. Today it is a popular destination for fishing, camping, and historic tours with a dash of Gold Rush-era fun. One of Isleton's charms is its ability to stay small (under 1,000 residents) while other regions of Sacramento are rapidly expanding.
Isleton City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Isleton City Hall, 101 Second St, Isleton, CA 95641. All meetings are open to the public except for closed sessions.
The Planning Commission is made up of five individuals appointed by the City Council. Currently they are working on Plan Isleton, the first update on the city’s general plan in 20 years.
