What is a grange? The folks at the Aromas Community Grange proudly proclaim it is “a group of passionate people dedicated to serving their community, and thereby making the world a better place. ... At the state and national levels, the Grange is a non-partisan political lobbying organization, one that historically focused on protecting the rights of farmers and other small landholders and giving them a political voice.”

The Grange Hall—founded in 1913 and the sixth oldest existing grange in the state—is the meeting place of Aromas Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, 4-H, Soccer Club, Little League, Aromas Eagles, Aromas Community Center Foundation, Aromas/San Juan Bautista Community Schools Foundation, Aromas Hills Artisans guild, A.C.E. (Aromas Cares for the Environment), Transition Aromas, Aromas Home and School Club, and the Anzar High School Boosters. The 5,000-square-foot facility also hosts concerts and movie nights, Neighbors Helping Neighbors food giveaways, free senior luncheons and much more.
