More than 100 community members on Dec. 14 participated in National Wreaths Across America Day, with ceremonies at the Calvary and Odd Fellows cemeteries in Hollister.
The Veterans Appreciation Ceremony/Parade was held on Nov. 11. More then 14 people received VFW Post banners and about 65 organizations participated in the parade. It was the first fall rainy day, but that didn't stop the parade or the spectators in downtown Hollister from enjoying each other and honoring local veterans.

The Gilroy Veterans Memorial Hall, 74 West Sixth St., is hosting Veterans Benefit Days on the first and third Fridays of the month through 2024 with extended hours from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
