The hiker's paradise known as Pinnacles National Park was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. Pinnacles National Park Foundation aims to “ensure excellence in education, resource stewardship, and visitor experiences at Pinnacles National Park.”

Funds raised go to such programs as Camp Pinnacles overnight science camp for fourth- and fifth-grade students from the Central Coast region; restoration of the 1903 Bear Valley Schoolhouse, which was built in on land that was donated by early American settler Dr. Americus Powers; and much-needed trail restoration.
