Founded in Texas back in 1929, LULAC is the oldest Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States.
LULAC operates in more than half of the states around the country, with more than 30 councils in California alone. In San Joaquin County, there are two councils: San Joaquin Manna and Stockton LULAC Council.
