Boys and Girls Clubs of Manteca/Lathrop

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop have been serving the community since 1982, providing services to more than 600 youths each year.

This national organization’s goal is to provide positive learning environments for young people. Clubs are designed to allow children to feel safe, to reach their full potential, and become productive, caring, and all-around responsible adults who are well-rounded because of the skills they have obtained.

With the help of staff members, children develop their character by gaining experience and enjoying relationships with caring adult professionals. The club offers many programs and experiences in five core areas: education and career development, health and life skills, sports and fitness, character and leadership, and the creative arts. At the same time, staff members help club members strengthen their emotional health.

The Boys and Girls Clubs have high expectations for the children who participate in the organization’s programs. By working with positive role models and learning new skills, children gain a sense of hope for the future. But the club relies on the help of donors, youth professionals, parents, volunteers, and many others in the community to create this positive club experience.
