VOLUNTEER DONATE

Beginning in 1988 with only six volunteers from several churches, Tracy Interfaith Ministries was created in order to help feed hungry people in the city of Tracy. The organization now attracts more than 100 volunteers to help run its food bank, clothing store, and holiday giving programs.

Churches provide support to Tracy Interfaith Ministries, and so do local businesses, other nonprofit groups and individuals. This 501(c)(3) organization is transparent about its operations, providing impact reports and other important documents on its website. Help is provided to any low-income residents, and while the majority of clients have homes and jobs, services are also provided to the homeless.

Court-ordered and school volunteer requirements can be obtained through this organization. Both groups and individuals are welcome, and there are many different tasks that need doing. (And mileage is reimbursed for volunteers who do weekly pick-ups of donated groceries.)
