VOLUNTEER DONATE

PALS Haven, short for People Assisting Lodi Shelter, was created in 2004 to help homeless and abandoned animals in Lodi. PALS volunteers help the Lodi Animal Shelter by fostering animals in their own homes, assisting in the placement of animals, and contributing to the upkeep and care of the animals.

While PALS began with no building of its own, in 2006 a construction company donated an existing building. The new building helped relieve the overload of animals in the Lodi Animal Shelter. With donations and support, PALS was able to help upgrade the animal shelter and give space for both PALS dogs and the shelter’s dogs as well. PALS’ rescue facility is now 13,000 square feet with plenty of space for cats to roam together in a room and 14 outdoor dog yards, with an in-house vet clinic soon to come. While PALS Haven puts in a lot of effort to adopt out all animals, it is also a no-kill shelter.
