The McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter has been helping families in need since 1987. Over the years, nearly 6,500 children have been helped by the family shelter.

These children and families are from Tracy and the surrounding areas. The family shelter provides housing and support for up to seven families at a time. This support is provided in many ways: lessons in basic life skills, counseling services, medical care, job guidance, and help with addictions.

Programs are provided in various categories: Family Crisis Intervention, Client Services, Personal Welfare, Financial Services, Child Welfare, and Communication Skills. The shelter also holds special events, including birthday parties and holiday events.
