Founded in 1923 to strengthen the business community, the Manteca Chamber of Commerce helps both companies and citizens embrace the uniqueness of the Manteca area.
The chamber hosts many programs to support community spirit. At the Chamber Coffee, held every Wednesday at 8 a.m., members network and learn about each other. Sometimes, they figure out ways to help one another. The chamber also hosts seminars on finance, marketing, taxes, and other information necessary to running a successful business.
The 16 members of the board of directors work hard to make Manteca a vibrant place, organizing such events as the Food Truck Frenzy in September, the Multi Chamber Mixer in October, and the Watermelon Street Faire in June. And the chamber has started a new nonprofit entity to support the need for more training in vocational fields.
