The African American Chamber of Commerce of San Joaquin County was created to promote commerce and industry in the local African American community. The chamber’s main focus is on Black-owned businesses and Black professionals.

Members of the chamber work together to address any issues that affect the community and will create support groups to meet the needs of those who desire to start a business or begin work in a profession. The seven members of the board of directors provide peer networking, web training, and more. The chamber helps members with ways to develop strategic corporate partnerships that promote and expand their businesses. Businesses are featured on the chamber’s website, which provides greater outreach.

The chamber is always looking to expand its membership. The more people, the more powerful the chamber can become. Members contribute to the chamber’s vision of improving the prosperity and welfare of the valley’s African American business community.
