VOLUNTEER DONATE

The LOEL Senior Center serves the greater Lodi community by offering sustainable services to all seniors, including programs that promote healthy aging.

The center was started in 1976 by William Holz, whose initial bequest created the LOEL (LOdi ELderly) Foundation. Services began with nutritious group meals, and then in 1978 the center moved into a vacant church on South Washington Street, where it is still based, and services expanded.

Activities offered by LOEL Senior Center offers are free or low-cost and include games, dances, and classes, with plenty of socializing. The center also offers low-impact fitness exercises four days a week that are free and open to the public. All the attendee has to do is bring comfortable clothes; there is no need to sign up. LOEL offers other kinds of exercises so that seniors can cross train on different days and hours.

In addition, LOEL Senior Center delivers fresh, hot meals Monday through Friday to senior citizens in Lodi and the Greater Lodi Area through a Meals on Wheels program.
