St. Mary’s Dining Room

St. Mary's Dining Room is a Stockton-based nonprofit with a mission to feed people, care for their health, and help them restore their dignity.

St. Mary’s Dining Room operates a kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week, year-round. Meals are prepared and served by volunteers.

The nonprofit also partners with the Virgil Gianelli Medical Clinic to provide full primary care services (including substance use and mental health) five days a week. All services are completely free of charge. The St. Raphael’s Dental Clinic offers dental services, including partials, dentures, fillings, extractions, and emergency dental treatment. All services are free of charge and treatments are conducted by volunteer professionals. Clients can call ahead to book appointments.

The third service St. Mary’s Dining Room offers are shower and clothing centers that provide hot showers, clothing, toiletries, and essentials. Men’s Shower and Clothing Centers are open every day of the week from 7:30 a.m. to noon, except on Saturdays. The separate Women & Children’s Shower and Clothing Centers are also open at the same times.

St. Mary’s also offers assistance for those applying to benefit programs such as Medi-Cal and food stamps, and information on emergency shelters, transition homes, and employment opportunities.
