Giving Opportunities to Kids (GOTKids)

Giving Opportunities to Kids exists to enhance the educational, vocational and curricular opportunities for Lodi students.

GOT Kids is an organization tailored specifically to the children attending public school throughout the Lodi Unified School District. With a ride range of ethnicities and income levels feeding into these schools, groups such as GOT Kids help to serve every unique child.

The group aims to provide opportunities outside of the classroom, encouraging children to further develop their individual talents and interests, while also acquiring everyday skills they will use for a lifetime. The world today is challenging for children, and providing hands-on, practical experiences and resources are a great way to help them thrive. 

Some programs and resources funded or provided by GOT Kids include the following:

• Clothing and supplies to homeless and low-income students
• Literacy training for parents
• Summer science programs
• Class trips to learn about careers, science, and to experience the arts
• Art show for high school students
• Books delivered every month to children under five
• Facilitation of scholarships for high school seniors
• Funding for the Choices program to help eighth-graders learn about life choices

All resources are provided through donations from the general community.
